Element Analysis

The elemental composition of materials is of interest in a broad field of activities. Beginning with purity analysis of production prematerials and ending with benchmark analysis of competitor products the chemical analysis of materials is applied in the complete value-chain of ams OSRAM products.

For some analytics a wet chemical digestion is necessary as a preparation for the following elemental analysis. Our laboratory is fully equipped for a broad variety of applications including chemical digestions under clean room conditions for ultra trace analytics.

The range of services of the laboratory covers the following test methods:

EDX – Energy Dispersive X-ray-Analysis

Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy is an analytical technique that enables the chemical characterization/element al analysis of materials.

ICP-OES – Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy

ICP-OES (Inductively coupled plasma - optical emission spectrometry) is an analytical technique in which the composition of elements in mostly water-dissolved samples can be determined.
